Privacy Notice

Last updated: April 29, 2026

This notice explains how AnimalProtech.Bio collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you create an account, publish a profile, contact a profile owner, or visit the service.

Who is responsible and how to contact us

  • AnimalProtech is responsible for the service and for the personal information processed to operate AnimalProtech.Bio.
  • Use the Help page or the official AnimalProtech contact channels to ask privacy questions, request access, correction, deletion, or portability, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Information you provide

  • Account and profile information, including name, email, username, country, profile descriptions, links, social profiles, campaigns, events, FAQs, RSS feeds, documents, animal information, gallery images, and other uploaded media.
  • Messages, help requests, reports, petition signatures, veterinary requests, verification submissions, consent forms, and any contact details or supporting documents you choose to submit.
  • AnimalProtech.Bio is currently free for animal protectors; we do not ask you to send payment card details through public forms.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data such as IP address, device and browser information, request headers, security logs, pages visited, referrers, and timestamps.
  • Optional profile analytics, if accepted, including link and social clicks, approximate location derived from request metadata, referrer, and user-agent details used to show aggregate engagement to profile owners.
  • Anti-abuse signals from Google reCAPTCHA when you use protected public forms.

How we use information

  • To create and secure accounts, publish profiles, deliver dashboard features, route messages and reports, process verification, provide analytics, send operational alerts, support users, and prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • To comply with law, enforce our terms, protect users and animal welfare organizations, debug the service, and improve reliability and product quality.
  • We process data under the legal bases available under applicable law, including contract performance, legitimate interests, consent, legal obligations, and protection of rights and safety.

Public content and profile owners

  • Public profile content is visible to anyone who can access the profile URL and may be indexed by search engines when the profile is discoverable.
  • When you submit a public profile form, the profile owner receives the information needed to respond, such as your contact details, message, animal or veterinary request details, or petition signature data.
  • Profile owners are responsible for how they use information they receive outside AnimalProtech.Bio.

Service providers and disclosures

  • We use service providers for authentication, hosting, database and file storage, analytics, security checks, email delivery, operational alerts, and infrastructure. These may include Better Auth, Convex, Tinybird, Google reCAPTCHA, Resend, Discord, and hosting/CDN providers.
  • We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect rights, safety, and security, or during an organizational change such as a merger or transfer of operations.
  • Some providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards and provider terms for cross-border processing.

Cookies, local storage, and analytics choices

  • We use necessary cookies and similar storage for sign-in, security, language preferences, remembering cookie choices, and core service operation.
  • Optional profile click analytics are off unless accepted in the cookie banner. You can change the choice through Cookie settings in the footer.
  • Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies or use device signals when protected forms are loaded or submitted. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your choices

  • You can edit, hide, or delete profile content in the dashboard, change language and cookie choices, and decide what information to submit in forms.
  • You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, or withdrawal of consent where these rights apply. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
  • Deleting an account or profile may not remove copies already shared with profile owners, indexed by search engines, preserved in backups, or retained where we have a legal or safety reason.

Data retention

  • We keep account and profile data while the account is active. We keep operational logs, security records, reports, verification records, and backups only as long as reasonably needed for legal, safety, dispute, audit, and service reliability purposes.
  • Public form submissions remain available to the receiving profile owner until deleted under the product workflow or retention process.

Security, children, and changes

  • We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
  • The service is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to online services in their jurisdiction. Minors should use the service only with a parent or guardian when required by law.
  • We may update this notice as the service changes. Material updates will be reflected by the updated date and, where appropriate, additional notice.
